Sian Campbell
Role
Heritage Officer

Sian joined Legacy WM in September 2022 as the Heritage Officer, a role that combines all of her passions, community, education and history. Sian was previously a teaching assistant at a Pupal Referral Unit, working with children who had varied levels of need. Sian studied for three years at Newman University where she achieved her BA in History. As an alum, she has written a blog for the university and facilitated a workshop engaging the staff and students of Newman University entitled ‘My life Matters: a NEWman conversation’.

Community work has been a part of Sian’s life since she was an early teen. Within this time, she has fulfilled various roles, from being a play worker in open spaces, to being a youth worker in youth clubs, to becoming the Behaviour Education Coordinator in a playscheme.

Sian is very passionate about heritage, as she understands the power that one can receive from knowing who they are and where they come from. Her vocation is to engage people within the community and create a safe space where all heritage’s can be celebrated.

In her spare time Sian is an active member of her church community, and enjoys reading and researching various history topics.
