Women's Engagement Worker

Shamsun joined Legacy WM in 2015 and is leading on the Women Can project, working to engage women in wellbeing activities. She also supports the Family Fit programme to engage women and their children.

She has a wealth of community work experience and a long-standing passion for supporting her local community. She has been a volunteer supporting local women over the last 15 years before working for the Bangladeshi Youth Forum, where she led on health and wellbeing projects for women and girls. She also worked with the junior club, bringing families together to deliver projects. This work has given her an excellent standing in the local community.
