Legacy West Midlands
Legacy WM was formed in April 2010 by a group of people with an interest in promoting cohesion between and within communities. With a focus on developing a shared understanding of the role that different groups and individuals have had in shaping today's society.
Legacy WM became a registered charity (1141498) in April 2011. Their Director Aftab Rahman was appointed in January 2012. His role has been to develop the capacity of the organisation, raise funds and deliver the 'Bangla food journeys' project. It is based at the Birmingham Asian Resource Centre.
Legacy WM is governed by a strategic group of trustees. They are Carol Lyndon, Gary Bowman, Kemi Folarin and Dr Gethin Davies OBE who is the chairperson.
