Legacy WM AGM 2023 – Board of Trustees Update | Legacy West Midlands

As announced at the 2023 Legacy WM Annual General Meeting, Chris Smith has resigned as Chair of Legacy WM with immediate effect.

Following a career as headteacher in local schools, Chris has served on the Board of Trustees for ten years and as Chair of Legacy WM for seven years. His contributions to the education and wellbeing of local communities cannot be overstated, and we follow his example of selfless leadership. Having served on the boards and as patron of several organisations, Chris is stepping down to enjoy a well-earned rest in retirement.

We wholeheartedly thank Chris for his tireless diligence, shepherding the organisation through phases of growth and the myriad challenges faced by charities in a competitive environment. In becoming a patron of Legacy WM, Chris remains passionate about our shared values of community cohesion and giving credence to lesser-heard voices in our neighbourhoods.

Filling the position vacated, Trustee Jesse Gerald will become Chair of Legacy WM. Jesse has served on the Board for five years and previously held the role of Chair of the Human Resources Subcommittee.
